Baskets are great for local deliveries and can usually be found for under $5.00 each. Line with tissue and finish off with a colorful cellophane wrap for a dazzling gift. Cost Plus also carries these from time to time, though I haven't seen many lately. Encourage recipients to return baskets or tins. I tell them they are guaranteed a repeat candy gift the following year if they recycle their basket or tin with me. I bought more than a dozen silver, star-shaped baskets in the mid 1990s and a few still keep coming back for their annual refill.
